Welcome to Summer on the Monterey Peninsula

Summer is officially here, and this year we actually got to enjoy June! The June gloom came and went much quicker than usual, giving us plenty of sunshine, longer evenings, and the start of another beautiful season on the Monterey Peninsula. While I know our coastal fog will eventually return, I'm soaking up every warm evening, backyard barbecue, and holiday weekend spent with family and friends.

As we head into the busiest season of the year, I wanted to share a few of my favorite local spots, what's happening in our real estate market, and some exciting events to look forward to over the next few months.

Local Favorites:

Coffee: Six Over

If you haven't stopped by Six Over yet, add it to your list. Whether you're grabbing a morning coffee before work or catching up with a friend, it's one of my favorite places to slow down and enjoy a great cup of coffee. The atmosphere is causal, the coffee is consistently excellent, and it's become one of my favorite local stops.

Happy Hour: Oyster Town

Fresh seafood, great drinks, and a relaxed atmosphere make Oyster Town one of my favorite happy hour destinations. It's the perfect place to unwind after work or kick off a weekend with friends. If you're looking for a new local favorite, this one is definitely worth a visit.

Fitness Studio: Coastal Movement

Coastal Movement has quickly become one of my favorite places to move my body and recharge. The instructors create an encouraging environment, and every class leaves you feeling stronger and energized. It's a wonderful addition to our local wellness community.

Park: Tatum's Treehouse

Located in Carmel Valley, Tatum's Treehouse is one of my favorite parks on the Peninsula. It's beautifully designed, inclusive, and offers something for everyone. Whether you're visiting with kids, meeting friends, or simply enjoying a sunny afternoon, it's a fantastic community space.

Grocery Store: Elroy's Fine Foods

One of the best local markets on the Peninsula, Elroy's is my go-to for fresh produce, specialty ingredients, and prepared meals. Whether you're planning a dinner party or just picking up a few essentials, it's always worth the stop.

Real Estate Update:

The second quarter was an exciting one for our team!

We were fortunate to represent clients across several of the Peninsula's most sought-after communities, including successful sales in Pasadera, Carmel-by-the-Sea, and Hatton Fields.

We also introduced new listings in Marina, Salinas, and Carmel Valley, with a few additional listings coming soon!

As we move into the summer market, we're continuing to help buyers successfully compete in a healthy and active market while guiding sellers through strategic pricing and preparation to maximize their home's value.

Looking Ahead: Q3 Events

Summer and early fall are some of the best times to experience everything the Monterey Peninsula has to offer. Here are a few events I'm looking forward to this quarter.

MotoAmerica at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca - July 10

One of the premier motorcycle racing events of the year, bringing incredible speed and excitement to Laguna Seca.

California Rodeo Salinas - July 17

A long-standing Central Coast tradition featuring rodeo events, concerts, and community celebrations.

Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance - August 16

One of the most iconic automotive events in the world.

Insider Tip: If you're hoping to see the incredible collection of classic and exotic cars without attending the main event, head down Highway 1 toward Big Sur on the Thursday before Concours weekend. Many participants take their cars on the famous scenic drive, making it one of my favorite hidden Car Week experiences.

Monterey Jazz Festival - September 25

One of the longest-running jazz festivals in the world, bringing world-class musicians to the Monterey County Fairgrounds every fall.
